Baseball update for 9/4/26: The game tonight has been moved from Galt to Newtown. 5pm start time. No JV.

LaPlata girls took 2nd at tonight’s meet losing to Macon by 1 stroke. Putnam County and Atlanta were also competing in the meet.
Senior Haygan Robinson was 2nd overall!
Sophomore Morgan Belfield was 7th overall! (Eagle on hole7)
Freshman Karmyn Jennings was 8th overall!
Junior Dawsyn Hudson was 11th overall!
Senior Claire Belfield was 15th overall!
Next meet is Thursday in Marceline at 4pm.

Lady Bulldogs Softball Varsity dropped a tough one last night to Schuyler County (3-17) but came back and got them in the JV innngs (3-2).
Bulldog Baseball dropped both the Varsity game (1-12) and JV game (3-4).
Both teams will be back in action at HOME on Thursday 9/3. The softball game will start at 5 pm with baseball to follow.

We officially welcomed 7th graders to our building today. It was an afternoon full of information, pizza, games, tours, Q&A panel from StuCo and meeting their teachers. It was a great start to the 26-27 school year. Can't wait to see the Class of 2032 grow and be awesome!

Softball Update: Putnam Co Softball Tournament-8/29/2026. La Plata will play in Pool B with their first game at 9am vs Schuyler on the south field.
The HS track is closed and under renovation until further notice. Thank you for your understanding!

La Plata R-II welcomed our new staff to the district today. The day was filled with learning all the BULLDOG things and preparing to welcome students! We are so excited for Mr. Snyder, Mrs. Waddle, and Mrs. Campbell as they embark on their Bulldog journey!
