We celebrated Red Ribbon Week with spirit, education, and some fun trivia! These students were rocking the PJs, Tye Dye, Zoom attire, and costumes (costume pics coming soon)!

We loved seeing all these creative costumes!! Congratulations to Jovie for winning the contest sponsored by StuCo!

High School Cheer will have a parent and student meeting on 11/2 at 5:30 in the HS commons. All players MUST be present.

These La Plata High School seniors recently visited State Fair Community College and Missouri Valley University as part of their college exploration experience! Students had the opportunity to learn more about each campus, explore future educational opportunities and tour the facilities.
We were excited to connect with LHS alumni Joel Hunt and Dylan Mitchell at State Fair Community College, and Lathe West and Emma Ralston (not pictured) at Missouri Valley University. It’s always great to see our Bulldogs continuing their education and making their mark beyond high school!
These visits are made possible through the RootED program, which helps students prepare for their futures after graduation.

Early Out on Thursday, Oct 22nd for Parent Teacher Conferences. Elementary will start dismissal at 12:15 and high school will dismiss at 12:35. Conferences will run from 1pm-7pm and there will be NO SCHOOL on Oct 23rd.

FCCLA will be collecting canned goods on October 29th at 6pm. See attached.

Alert, alert, alert!!! Read all about it---fresh off the press---Claire earned 13th place at State Golf! Claire, we are so proud of the hard work and determination that you have put in--not only on the course but in life in general! Great job, kiddo!

Did you know that about 19.2% of students ages 12-18 enrolled in grades 6-12 experienced bullying nationwide during the 2021-2022 school year? This is lower than the decade previous, and lower still than the decade before that. Here at La Plata, we hope to be a part of lowering that percentage. We teach students that they have a part in bullying prevention and being aware is the first step! To recognize October as National Bullying Prevention Month, the district will wear orange on Wednesday, October 21st. Join us!

These LHS juniors and seniors recently visited North Central Missouri College (NCMC) in Trenton to explore campus life and educational opportunities. The tour included seeing campus classrooms, the Barton Farm Campus, the new Nuttall Student Center, and the suite-style dorms. We concluded with lunch on campus with LHS alumni Kendrick Hulett, Landyn Hulett, and Logan Arbuckle, who shared about their experience at NCMC.

La Plata Ladydogs will be playing in the District Tournament on Thursday at 3pm. Parents can contact the office to give permission for their student to attend the game. We must receive parent permission prior to 12pm on Thursday for students to attend the game. Students and parents are responsible for transportation to the game and will be dismissed at 2:30. LClub is sponsoring the game and will pay for all Bulldog Students' admissions. Thank you, LClub! Theme: Ties, Tutus, and Tshirts!

Seven La Plata High School seniors visited the University of Missouri (Mizzou) campus on October 8 to explore college life and learn more about the opportunities available at a major university. Students participated in a general new student orientation, toured campus, and enjoyed lunch in a Mizzou dining hall. The tour was especially meaningful as it was led by LHS alumnus and Tiger Tour Team member Kohyn Wood, who shared a familiar connection with the students as they explored their future college options.
