KIRKSVILLE, Mo. — Truman State University beat Newman 25-22, 25-9, and 25-21 in volleyball Friday at Pershing Arena.
Jessie Julius, of Truman State, and Laci Neece, of Truman State, each had 11 kills. Autumn Erickson, of Truman State, had six kills, two aces, and three blocks. Elise Gibson, of Truman State, had five kills. Tori Creason, of Truman State, had 29 assists and one ace. Adalyn Galbraith, of Truman State, had three blocks. Julius, of Truman State, and Addy Janssen, of Truman State, each had 10 digs. Neece, of Truman State, had eight digs.
Avery Kelley, of Newman, Isabella Lamb, of Newman, and Priscilla Raschen, of Newman, each had six kills. Madalyn Hoot, of Newman, had 20 assists and nine digs. Lamb, of Newman, had two blocks. Reese Daugherty, of Newman, had one ace. Reese Johnson, of Newman, had seven digs. Kierny Follmer, of Newman, and Hannah Tymitz, of Newman, each had five kills.
Truman State hit .245 to Newman's .131 and finished with 39 kills to 34, seven aces to one, six blocks to five, and 46 digs to 43. Avery Poppe, of Truman State, had two aces. Creason, of Truman State, had one ace.
Attendance was 85.
