Macon Woman Faces Felony Charges After Alleged Shotgun Incident During Custody Exchange

A Macon woman is behind bars on a $75,000 cash-only bond after allegedly firing a shotgun toward another person during a child custody exchange.
Ashley Rose Brown, 39, of Macon, faces two class E felony charges: domestic assault in the third degree and unlawful use of a weapon. According to court records, Brown allegedly fired a single-shot Winchester .410 gauge shotgun in the direction of a man who had arrived at her residence for a custody exchange on April 18. No injuries were reported.

Brown was arrested April 19 and is scheduled for a bond hearing at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in Macon County Circuit Court.

All charges are allegations. Every person is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
