Macon County Ambulance Board Postpones April 28 Meeting

Ambulance Board Cancels Meeting

MACON, Mo. — The Macon County Ambulance District Board of Directors has postponed its April 28, 2026 meeting, the District announced at 2:30 p.m., today, just three hours prior to the scheduled meeting.

In a statement, the District said the postponement was made “in order to meet again with full-time applicants and further discuss scheduling options.” The meeting had been scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Macon County Fairgrounds Floral Hall, with the contested 48/96 shift schedule listed as a new business item.

The Chronicle reported earlier today on the dispute that had drawn public attention to the meeting, including an open letter from district employees raising concerns about the schedule change and an April 24 statement from the District disputing several of the employees’ claims. That earlier reporting is available here: https://maconchronicle.com/macon-county-ambulance-board-meets-tonight-as-schedule-dispute-sharpens/ .

A new meeting date has not yet been announced. The Chronicle will report the rescheduled date once the District posts notice.
