Clarence man seriously injured in Route K crash

A Clarence man was seriously injured Friday morning when the pickup he was driving ran off Route K north of Tenmile and overturned, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The crash happened at 5:30 a.m. about 2 miles north of Tenmile in Macon County. The patrol listed the driver as a 20-year-old Clarence man in a westbound 2009 Dodge 3500. The report says he fell asleep, ran off the roadway, and overturned. A safety device was not in use.

The Dodge had total damage. Macon County Ambulance took him to University Hospital in Columbia.

Trooper Riley of the patrol investigated. The Macon County Sheriff's Department and fire and rescue assisted, according to the report.
