A Bevier man died early Sunday in a motorcycle crash on Highway C in Bevier, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The single-vehicle crash happened at 3 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, at Highway C and Beauben Street. The patrol listed the driver as a 26-year-old Bevier man on a northbound 2008 Harley-Davidson. The report says he failed to navigate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment, went airborne, struck a tree, and was ejected.
Macon County EMS pronounced him deceased at the scene at 1:15 p.m. The report lists no safety device. The motorcycle had total damage. His body was taken to Greening Eagan Hayes Funeral Home.
Trooper Willock of the patrol investigated. Other troopers, the Macon County Sheriff's Department, and ambulance crews assisted, according to the report.
