Northeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging hosts a community meal-services meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at La Plata Christian Church.
The meeting runs until 11 a.m. at the church, 120 W. Moore St.
According to an agency flyer, community members are invited to learn about home-delivered meal updates and the choice meal program in the La Plata community.
Three trained volunteer specialists will screen community members for Medicaid eligibility, according to the flyer. The flyer describes that screening as the first step toward receiving Medicaid home-delivered meals.
For more details, call Northeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging at 660-665-4682, ext. 1, or Pastor Scott McNay at 660-342-0154.
Separately, the Northeast Missouri Senior Citizens services page still lists home-delivered meals for people living within the Kirksville and La Plata city limits. The suggested contribution is $5 a meal.
