Lane Huttenstine has always had a gift—the ability to take something apart and put it back together better than before. Whether it's an engine, a machine, or a challenge, Lane approaches every task with the same precision and problem-solving mindset that defines a true craftsman. Now, as he enters the workforce and joins the Army National Guard, those skills are about to take him places.
The Army National Guard is gaining a soldier with technical expertise, practical intelligence, and the kind of hands-on capability that's invaluable in the field.
As you move forward into the workforce and your service, carry that same precision and pride with you. La Plata is proud of you.

Mr. Joel Hunt is the next spotlight.....so close to graduation, we are excited to see what his future holds. He's taking the next step toward a career that embodies both: becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant at State Fair Community College this fall.
As Joel moves into healthcare, he's bringing something special: a genuine care for others and a work ethic that won't quit. Physical therapy is about helping people reach their potential, and Joel's four years at La Plata have shown he's exactly the kind of person built for that mission.
Your friends, your teachers, and your community believe in you, Joel. You've got this. 💪

IT'S LAYNE MACK! As graduation nears, check out with this senior has in store! She is an accomplished athlete and dedicated student, is ready to chase her dreams of becoming a physical therapist. This fall, she'll head to Truman State University to pursue a major in Physical Science—the perfect foundation for her healthcare career.
From freshman year to now, Layne has grown tremendously—becoming more independent and confident along the way. Whether she's on the basketball court or in the classroom, she's shown the determination and work ethic that will serve her well in physical therapy school.
Best of luck, Layne! Your hard work and passion are going to take you far. 🏀
